Polypropylene encapsulated ductile iron (PP/Steel)
Ductile iron flange with 30% glass fibre reinforced polypropylene encapsulation. A high corrosion resistant flange for use with PE, PP and PVDF stub ends.
Ideal for use in:
Fish farms aquaculture
Water
Mining
Gas
Marine
Benefits:
Unique cross section (like an I-beam), 50% lighter in weight than conventional flange backing rings
Convoluted shape = bolts do not lose tension, no need for re-torqueing when installed correctly
Offers huge weight savings
Available from d20mm up to d1000mm
Outstanding pressure performance with a safety factor of 2
Adaptable to both steel and all thermoplastic piping systems
A much lower embedded carbon footprint

Info
Max. operating pressure: connecting
dimensions PN and max. operating pressure in
bar are not directly linked.
For example: a PPDA Flange in size DA 225-
10 is drilled in acc. to DIN 2501 / EN 1092
PN 10, but max. operating pressure is 16 bar.
IPP recommends use of washers (below screw
head and nut).
