PPDI - ANSI B16.5 Class 150, ID Metric
Polypropylene encapsulated ductile iron (PP/Steel)
Ductile iron flange with 30% glass fibre reinforced polypropylene encapsulation. A high corrosion resistant flange for use with PVC-U, PVC-C, ABS,PE, PP and PVDF stub ends. These are ‘cross-over’ flanges for fitting ANSI drilled pumps, valves and fittings to metric standard pipe.
Ideal for use in:
- Fish farms aquaculture
- Water
- Mining
- Gas
- Marine
Benefits:
- Unique cross section (like an I-beam), 50% lighter in weight than conventional flange backing rings
- Convoluted shape = bolts do not lose tension, no need for re-torqueing when installed correctly
- Offers huge weight savings
- Available polypropylene encapsulated ductile iron or epoxy coated flanges
- Available from 2” to 66” in ANSI range with metric ID
- Outstanding pressure performance with a safety factor of 2
- Adaptable to both steel and all thermoplastic piping systems
- A much lower embedded carbon footprint
